Selected Engagements:
Successfully defended a high-ranking member of the El Rukn street gang in a widely publicized, multi-defendant, four-month trial in federal court in Chicago.
Served as lead counsel in two capital murder cases in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
Represented a receiver and assisted creditors’ attorneys in a complex fraud case in federal court.
Obtained a jury verdict against a law firm for breach of its fiduciary duties stemming from a dispute over legal fees and the use of client’s property by the law firm without compensation.
Successfully recovered monetary damages from an attorney for breach of contract and unjust enrichment for an individual whom he had represented on criminal charges in federal court.

Department of Justice Jury Trial Project

Involved in developing a Russian language video of a mock jury trial, filmed in Moscow. It incorporates changes in the Russian Federation Code of Criminal Procedure, which now extends the right to a jury trial to those charged with serious crimes, to all regions of Russian Federation.
